Letter to the press – EU treaty
Dear Sir,
I am in my early forties and I have
never had the opportunity to vote on anything to do with the European
Union.
I could have had the opportunity over
the Treaty of Lisbon, had it not been for the selfish and dishonest
attitude of some Lib Dems MPs such as David Laws. Had they supported
the Conservative call for a referendum I could have had my vote;
instead they decided to sit on the fence on an issue on which they
made a manifesto commitment at the 2005 General Election.
So, can Laws and his party be trusted
again? Will they continue their tactic of telling one person one
thing and the next person another?
It is time for a change of Government
and voting for politicians that keep their word is the only honest
option.
