The end of England

The bureaucrats in Europe are at it again. last night we heard on the news they were determined to keep the raft of illegality around MEP's expenses secret from the people who pay their bills. Today we hear that the EU has a plan to carve up England into sub regions and have parts of the South join with parts of Northern France and drop the title 'English' from the English Channel. It would become the English sea.

I am sure this story is not new and I have seen a similar plan before. However, they now want for there to be sub-Parliaments that will cover these new regions. Apparently the Germans want to pursue it as it will underline the decline of trans-national borders.

I just wish the EU would spend more time putting right the real problems of Europe rather than inventing a whole new raft of stupid proposals. No wonder so few people in this country back the European ideal!
