Tax cuts for votes

This Government really has lost the plot.

For months Chancellor Darling leads us to believe that they are not taking a decision about adding the extra 2p fuel tax due to be implemented in October because they had not got to October yet. Then, during a by-election which is a 'win or go' stakes for Gordy Brown, they just suddenly announce they are going to suspend the increase.

And politicians wonder why people have lost faith in politicians!
