Crewkerne traffic problems

I spent soem time on the campaign trail in Crewkerne, talking to a umber of businesses who are just plain fed up with the lowsy problems they face over parking.

Takings are down over 30% for some as they have faced the problems of Crewkerne being turned into a major construction site ahead of the opening of a new Waitrose later in the year. On top of this there continue to be some serious problems with traffic piling through Crewkerne.

The Lib Dems keep talking about having a by-pass but of course nothing ever gets done by them. In the meantime action is needed. They ought to be investigating a day-time lorry an or even the operating of a one-way system through Crewkerne. All the traders talk of the one way system that opoerates every year for the fete. They say it works and there can be no harm in trialling this – all it would take is a few signs.
