New Somerset fire centre gets later and later

Last September I put out a press release criticising the decision to have a single Fire Control centre covering the South West. You can read what I said here.

The BBC is now reporting that the Government is going to announce fresh delays to this ridiculous programme and will add another £1.6m to the cost. Why can they not just come clean and say that this is a shambles and scrap the whole scheme?
